There are many benefits to using and taking in coconut oil. If you google it, you will find many articles on it. Here's one to start with... Health Benefits of Coconut Oil.
I love using coconut oil, too, but it's been a while since I've done anything but cook with it. The deodorant recipe is intriguing!
ReplyDeleteDo you know a way of mixing it so it's not quite so oily feeling on your face? It's wonderful for my skin, but I don't like the greasy feel.
I just use straight coconut oil... and use very little. It is a bit greasy at first but soaks in and is fine for me.
DeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE coconut oil. That is a great deodorant recipe - my problem down here is that is melts and if I put it in the fridge it gets to hard. Oh well - I suppose I can't complain being down here in Mexico!
ReplyDeleteIt melted in the summer for me... two options we've tried: David didn't like putting it on with his fingers so we filled an old stick deodorant container and kept his in the fridge. So he would "glide" it on like an ordinary stick deodorant. In the summer, I put mine in a small squirt container. It's a lot easier than trying to scoop it out. I just squirt it on my fingers. ENJOY Mexico and the warm weather!
